Entering the cave, we explore the celestial crack.
The huge crag with words ‘Ling-yan’ is so queer and black.
We then climb to the top of “Yi-xian sky” from this boulder.
Enjoying the wonderful view, we are in great pleasure.

Spiraling Mt. Huang, three thousand paved stairs make the way.
The rainstorm rushes tourists to hurry running like jet.
Exhausted and tired. How miserable, they say!
So chilly and hungry, and yet with body thoroughly wet !

清晨天霽赴園遊。紅已瘦 , 肥綠綻梢頭。

Night Rain [By Charles Wu]

Raindrops jumped down after the angry crash of thunder.

Through the window, such loud noises woke the sound sleeper.

I could not sleep well and worried for the flowers.

During the long night, the rain attacked like bombers.

Under my blanket, I tried to compose a poem.

Time passes but I could not finish it in good rhythm.

I felt ashamed as my work was but a big yawn.

The verse was incomplete till the rain stopped at dawn.

Touring my garden, I found red blossoms did drop

While all leaves looked vividly green at the tree top.

紅葉洒舟飄遠渚，冷露凝枝楓自語，爽秋來，炎夏去，似水流年無覓處。

Autumn Maple

Red leaves flew over the boat near the island.

The maple tree murmured with cold dews moistened.

Cool autumn arrived after the hot summer.

Time passed without trace like the flowing water

Blusher was just applied yesterday.

All things had suddenly changed today.

Violent wind attacked it at night.

A sorrowful bald tree was in sight.

Who enjoyed such towering pillar.

Morning frost was its only lover.

While young, I did not know how to enjoy my leisure.

I worked for my future ! I worked for my future !  

I troubled troubles which were out of my measure.

While growing old, I know how to enjoy my leisure.

No desire is pleasure ! No desire is pleasure !

Accepting things as they come, I feel much better.

Although its large leaves are wet with cold dew,

Osmanthus blooms snow-white blossoms so new.

Winds shake its stamen and cross the palace.

Chang-er enjoys its fragrance with gladness.

She orders Wu-gang to stop his cutting.

The flowers, they are busily picking.

She also asks the rabbit to make cake;

For mid-autumn festival and no mistake.

The violet mist blurred distant mountain.

Optimizing, I enjoyed strolling in garden.

Tang calligraphy was practiced at leisure;

and the Essays were composed to ponder.

Swallows flew high to announce the springtime.

Friends invited to forum with poems in rhyme.

We helped each other to polish raw literature;

Cherishing the fun time as rejoice pleasure.

The ocean liner sent its last whistling .
I held the hands of my darling ,
And said good-bye to her gloomily.
I had too many words about love and sadness ,
Confusion made me speechless.
We embraced with tears down occasionally ,
Because we were so dreary.
In the past, we were classmate for years.
Our sentiment was pure and sincere.
With mutual trust , we should not worry
About our departure in spring of this year.
We just blamed our fate to be so eventful.
Now, we made a solemn pledge of love in faithful,
Based on our devotion and sincerity.
Wait for me ! My dear !
I 'll fulfill my nice blueprint in three years.
Hold our hands firmly,
To the land of love bravely.
And, we 'll stay together permanantly !

Reform groups and conservatives are in action.

They insist on the undeserved reputation.

Websites are built by poets of different thought.

They exchange harsh words and sneers when mistakes are caught.

Annoying voices like frogs were heard when they taught.

Betting On Horses【By Charles Wu】

Horses neigh furiously on the weekend.

Happy Valley is the place people attend.

Fans see how they run and comment their racing.

They are betting on the triple win pool but losing.  

Their chances of getting rich are all missing.

Horse-racing is but an addictive game.

Gamblers with greediness bettings inflame.

Losing heavily, they involve their virtuous wives.

In ten bettings, only one probably survives.

The folk adage says a thousand times.

Gamblers are but speculators as well as bold snipers.
To get information, they often contact their brokers.
They think carefully before placing their high stake
To buy gold and stock in a quantity which they can take.
Gambling all their fortune, they do not save money.
So risky !  So risky !  So risky !  

Music of triumph is played in the racing course.
Gamblers knit their brows for losing their bets on horse.
On the opposite, the trainers are always happy.
They invite guests to their Glee feast to drink brandy.
All jockeys also win a lot of money.
However, the purses of most punters are empty.
Horse fans are stunned by the race results as all are cheaters.
Plunderers ! Plunderers ! Plunderers !

The gold wind blows warmly and the weather is very fine.

I lead the life of a recluse enjoying the sunshine.

Despite all my efforts, I cannot stop the gay moment.

On seeing the red peach blossom, I am so pleasant.

In the poem website, I become a happy writer.

At my leisure, I play flute and sometimes I plant flower.

Refined scholars admire my works in the simple farmhouse.

Some play fiddle and chess while some chant and paint in my house.

There's a lady: she's dearly pretty!

Embarrassed to see her beauty,

The moon hid itself in the cloud,

And the flowers shut the petal.

Amazed by her beauty!

The fish dived down into the water,

The wild goose forgot to wing and fell.

She's not only talented,

But also sweat and delicate.

Her beauty amazed the young fellow.

He fell in love right at the sight seeing her.

He also attracted her,

For his sweet-talk, gentle and tender.

And there, they had a good time together.

They're happy to see each other,

All previous misunderstandings are cleared.

The emotional feeling was hard to control,

Their tears were broken like spring evolved.
