I missed my lover very much while resting in my bed.
She was hesitate to promise my suggested engagement.
Before our cold war, we exchanged love letters so frequent.

My step-mother was badly hurt in traffic accident.
With tear in her eyes, my aunt became a helpless patient.
Because of them, I could not sleep for the whole night.
For many times, I looked at the sky--- still dark without light.

In Canada’s capital, all things look so prosperous.
Blossoms bloom in most trees and singing birds are so joyous.
Buildings including the parliament are of English style.
I am fond of this place which looks like Hong Kong profile.

Doing nothing against nature means civilization.
Justice exists and prosperity is not a question.
Monks with six readings can concentrate like a cloud.
Under thrice mental trainings, evil thought is not allowed.
Striking the sonorous stone, they can exorcise the demon.
Guided by the lotus light, they know their way to heaven.
From labyrinth, they go straight to the world of awareness.
Preaching Buddhism needs sincerity and kindness.

狂濤拍岸夢難成 , 徹夜羈人聽海聲。噴雪連山波浪駭 ; 捲沙吞月客魂驚。
冬隆衾冷深閨怨 ; 否極泰來孤掌鳴。逐利離鄉千里遠 , 思家即日作歸程。

The Billows【By Charles Wu】
I could not sleep and watched the sea wave beating the shore.
Wanderers liked to spend the whole night hearing such roar.
Billows like mountains gushed out snow in an astonishing way.
They tried to swallow the moon and drive the sand away.
I missed my wife who must be lonesome in this cold winter.
The worst time had gone and my business did prosper.
In order to make money, I left my home by airway.
Being homesick, I planned my return journey today.

By internet, I contacted my pen friends miles away.
Slowly, I wrote a poem for ‘ Qiu-ling ’ on her birthday.
Of our website, she was a considerate founder.
She directed poem beginners like the Big Dipper.
All her verses and articles were splendid and popular.
Her words were so kind that even bird was her listener.
As Goddess of Mercy, she watered the perplexed people.
All shouted, “ Long live bamboo and pine ! Long live our angel ! ”

The Tour To Nan-ning【By Charles Wu】
Nan-ning's geographical feature resembles Guang-Xi's beautiful!
The place is blessed with clear water and great talent people.
In Yi-ling-yan, stalactites are checked with enthusiasm.
Books about clan of Zhuang are displayed at the museum.
Waterfall of De-tian cascades down from the hill gently ;
Bamboo boats berth along the bank at Ming-shi elegantly.
We visit the Friendship Border between China and Vietnam.
Spots with green mountains and lofty clouds are not the same.

Scenery Of Wen-Ling【By Charles Wu】

Clever guys live in Zhe-jiang with beautiful scenery.

Wen-ling Terrace can be seen at the east water clearly.

All flying wild geese mistake the quarries as small islands.

You can admire the swans travelling to Tai-hu woodlands.

Twilight brightens the pavilion where people play flute.

Tourists enjoy the stone walls while trying the local fruit.

In this website, I write a poem to extol such scene.

This place is like the fairyland that I have never been.

The paper-bark trees stand along two sides of the road.
Their flowers look like Buddhist lanterns so hollowed.
They grow healthily though with ugly peeled-off trunks.
People say they are but graceful ascetic monks.

The leaves of Garcinia group like lotus lamps.

They stand on the ground resembling celestial camps.

Throughout the year, they look greener than the others.

These are towers with thousand of jadeite layers.

The peak looks steamy with mist over its border.

The walking path is steep and hidden with danger.
The clouds embrace green hills with their wonder fly.

Chinese reduce their rejoice in Double-Ten Festival.

Mainland and Taiwan might solve their problem by battle.

The theory of “Da-tong” paradise is still our bible.

Kuomingtang follows the Three Principles of People.

National flag of blue sky and bright sun is to be blamed.

Facing the tomb of martyrs, we should feel ashamed.

Two ruling parties must work hard to increase harmony.

When all parties co-operate, China would make big money.

Missing My Good Friend【By Charles Wu】

Chanting poem, I recall my distant friend at night.

I like his work which is of high quality and bright.

Before then, he often posts verses in my website.

He writes good couplets and his companion is a delight.

Living at other side of the world, I miss him so much.

Like the dusk cloud and rising sun, we are as far as such.

I invite him to Hong Kong for a merry gathering.

Here, shellfish tastes good, crab being fat and shrimp is jumping !

The Monk【By Charles Wu】

Through the bamboo grove, the monk reached his monastery.
Preaching Buddhism, he got flowers and was so happy.
From the staircase to the board road, he walked briskly around.
His Buddhist stick with tin decorations made a queer sound.
He begged alms with a torn robe and slept under the cloud.
Knocking the doors of the alms givers at night, he kowtowed.
Soon after his return, he struck the sonorous stone.
Igniting the Buddhist headlight, he meditated alone.

“Too oily !” all tourists so commented the An-hui food.
Yet, Mandarin Fish ball tasted exceptionally good.
Some people even tried the wild lichen grown on rockies;
But not the Giant Salamander, an endangered species.

My Daily Life【By Charles Wu】
By means of surfing internet, I work hard at night.
I do not go to sleep until my poem is alright.
The noises of birds wake me up in the the morning.
Music comes from terrace where gymnasts are dancing.
In spring, I get up earlier to enjoy fresh flower.
Children welcome me because I am their player.
My daily life is same as all common people.
I do exercise as a habit which makes me cheerful.

You were now migrating to America by airway.
Such surprising message made me sad all the day.
We shook hands and said good-bye without tear.
The reason why you left was what I wanted to hear.
That you evaded Communist ruling was an excuse.
You should have better convincing points and views.
I sincerely hoped that your targets could be fulfilled.
You started the long journey and your new life to rebuild.

退隱樂敲鉤 , 金竿玉餌求。閒將浮木削 ; 忙把破簍修。
滴汗親磯石 ; 拋絲驚海鷗。牽綸無失誤 , 漁獲傲朋儔。

Fishing【By Charles Wu】
After retirement, fishing gave me a lot of pleasure.
I chose my golden rod and bait at the time of leisure.
Cutting appropriate wood, I made my special float.
The broken creel was repaired and I went angling by boat.
At a water-surrounded rock, I whipped my fishing rod.
The hook flew so high in the sky and the sea gulls were awed.
Sweating under the hot sun, I never missed a hooked fish.
Friends admired my harvest which was as good as I did wish.

Intestine Tumour【By Charles Wu】
To cure my hemorrhoids, I saw the surgical doctor.
After checking my large intestine, he found a cancer.
As such, I made a will about my wealth to my children.
I cracked joke without worry as all my things had been done.
In the operation, an electronic endoscope was used.
The tumour was cut but my intestine was not bruised.
Thanks for the modern medical technology.
People could live for one hundred years and still healthy.
