詠荷【原創 : 吳銓高】植物16古韻 [精選]
風翻翠浪擁紅蓮 , 焰彩燒晴映碧泉。引息遙知香蕾放 ; 凝珠欲滴嫩蓬鮮。
藕含通柄銀鱗戲 ; 花立蜻蜓君子憐。自愧詩庸污秀質 , 幸能參透個中禪。

To Chant The Lotus【By Charles Wu】
Shaken by wind, the red lotus is hugged by its leaves.
It casts a flaming shadow which the limpid pond receives.
The fragrance tells the visitors that its bud will bloom.
Dew drops try to peep the seeds in its tender womb.
Fishes play around its stalk and root under water.
Dragon-fly rests on its petal while poet is the watcher.
I fear this poem would stain its beautiful quality.
Its growth from mud makes me think about the truth deeply.

At “Ken Tu Yuan” in Taiwan, poets get together.
They chant poems and compose couplets in the cellar.
Fragrance of tea from rosy cups penetrates their sleeves.
Notice board shows a masterpiece the champion achieves.
The junior poets rush to greet their website teacher.
All support the spread of quintessence of Chinese culture.
Members exchange their views joyously in the party.
Having similar interest , they become good friends happily.

Literature Forum【By Charles Wu】
So happy to join the poem forum on the Internet,
To spend the rest of my life there is not a regret.
As I always admire those famous old times poets,
the Su, Cao, Li and Du—They all did good essays.
People attended forum are so talented and elegant,
And the instructors’ patience is swell than ancient.
Thru chanting and studying, I gain friendship and resource.
While sharing the experience, we fill life with good course.
As we encourage each other, we make our poems better,
And to our common goal of promoting Chinese Culture,
We sure will inherit and to carry on the torch together.

三顧茅蘆鍥而不捨獲通傳

Visit The Poet Laureate [Pagoda Poem]【By Charles Wu】

Oh !
We row.
Our daydream;
To be one team;
To show our strong will.
Rowing music sounds real;
Clouds in valley stroll like riff;
Waterfall flows below at steep cliff;

Apes yell as our boat meets the rapid.
On arrival, poet laureate must be greeted.
We urge the door keeper to tell his master;
Sincerely, we acknowledge him as our teacher;
Under his guidance, our writing skill is much better.

Snow-covered mountains

Are ridging around the lakesides.

Down the silent valley

There stand the ever green pines.

Behind the rocks I just climbed over,

Suddenly I see the beautiful reflection

The emerald lake of Banff endlessly waves

As in the field of Columbia icy shiny paves.

The heavenly landscape I am visiting

Spares me from the worldly pains I was taking.

穿林訪舊景依然 , 友屋成村已徒遷。勒馬抽韁停路口 ; 抬頭賞雪望松巔。

猜疑小驥時驚魄 ; 暫駐中途未見田。湖水冰清圍凍樹 ; 夕陽昏暗話今年。

搖鈴欲問情何切 ; 諫主難言意可憐。細聽風聲松旁泣 ; 應聞雪韻耳邊傳。

臨場羡贊林森雅 ; 守諾遵盟夢要圓。合指計程千里遠 ; 匆匆趕路末能眠。

Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening [By Robert Frost]

Whose woods these are I think I know.

His house is in the village though;

He will not see me stopping here

To watch his woods fill up with snow.
My little horse must think it queer
To stop without a farmhouse near
Between the woods and frozen lake
The darkest evening of the year.
He gives his harness bells a shake
To ask if there is some mistake.  
The only other sound's the sweep
Of easy wind and downy flake.  
The woods are lovely, dark and deep.
But I have promises to keep,
And miles to go before I sleep,
And miles to go before I sleep.

There is split-type or window-type air-conditioner.

After work, I play Mahjong until midnight.

Like the owl, I fly swiftly to my home site.

Opening the door quietly , I enter my bedroom.

With a cane, the bride will penalize her bridegroom.

Tree leaves fall but only chrysanthemums bloom in Autumn.

Chinese sweep tombs; burn candles, joss stick and paper item.

Climbing mountain is their Double Ninth Festival customs.

The hot weather in Hong Kong creates some hill fire problems.

Celebrating the New Year’s Eve,
People count down with cheers.
The brilliant firework bursts up
While colorful lanterns been lit.
In bidding farewell to old year,
They welcome a good new year
And wish the best for tomorrow.

Over the hill, Pompons grow gracefully in line.

Their crimson flowers look beautiful under the sunshine.

Their branches and leaves are as green as emerald.

They are so unique that no shrub can be equaled.

The Geisha who played Chinese Flute【By Charles Wu】

Deep at night, one Geisha advised the guests to drink quicker.

While the other played Chinese Flute which twittered like warbler.

Startled the butterfly and moon, good music passed the window.

Entering the sky by wind, it also pierced through the willow.

Her lip and hairpin moved with the notes in rhythm.

Being an adept, she could play any song without problem.

She often had a date with her temporary lover.

Her romantic affair was but a matter of dollar.

雙星合巹銀橋架 ; 七姐依偎媚意昭。再吻朱唇神盪漾 , 會郎陶醉更魂銷。

Valentine Day [By Charles Wu]

People in deep love meet today though from far place.

Flame of love burns when they hold in a warm embrace.

They pledge an oath of enduring fidelity.  

At dusk, they decide to spare a night of honey

Like the Cowboy and Weaving Maid in the heaven.

The Maid whispers shyly, “ I shall be your woman ! ”

Their souls merge on the second kiss which is the best.

In this secret meeting, they are really impressed.

At the top of an old pine, an eagle stands high

Watching all things near suburbs under the blue sky.

The tree grows taller as it lives here for generation.

Good bird selects wood to build nest to protect its children.

Glad to see phoenix return home on Lantern Festival.

Din of drum and pipe is full of the suburb with people.

Many colourful festive lanterns are pasted with puzzle.

Full moon in spring shines brightly at the tip of pine jungle.

Bright fireworks are displayed above the Temple of Heaven.

Magical laser is emitted from Hong Kong mansion.

The tower clock sounds loudly at mid night to celebrate.

In website, couplets and poems are written by playmate.

赤鏡斜空撫樹梢 , 荷鋤閒看鳥歸巢。塘蛙籬犬途邊噪 ; 梵鼓禪鐘寺內敲。
稚子候門迎倦父 ; 荊妻揩汗備佳餚。厚生敦業農家樂 , 杯酒舒懷萬事拋。

The sun is setting at the tree-top like a red mirror.
Farmer will go home with the hoe on his shoulder.
Birds fly to their nests and dogs bark at passing people.
Frogs sing with the music from the distant temple.
His son greets him at the door and his wife wipes his sweat.
They then sit together as supper has been set.
It is a joy to be peasant leading a simple life.
He drinks without worries because he has a good wife.

My House At Tun-men【By Charles Wu】
I am prepared to spend the rest of my life in China.
Tun-men is the quiet place for me to build a villa.
Bell sound can be heard from the distant temple.
Birds often twitter in the nearby forest of maple.
At dawn and dusk, the lake looks beautiful with mangrove.  
Wind and rain create easy rhythm in the bamboo grove.
To chant poems with my bosom friends is a good choice.
In a simple room, we drink tea; we chat and we rejoice.
